Hi all, I have a chance to buy a SONY Triniton PVM-206NE broadcast RGB monitor which I've read are amazing for 240p etc games.
I'm told the picture is not always colour accurate which worries me. Is this something can be easily repaired?
Thanks!

It may just simply need some adjustments through manual controls, but to know for sure, you'd probably have to open it up and take a look inside for anything loose/broken. I have a Sony PVM and they are complex CRT monitors. I for one, have no clue what I would be doing, so you'd probably have to take it to a professional (and one who knows about CRT's at that) to have a look at it. To do all that, the expense probably isn't worth it. You can get decent used PVM's with everything working for $50.00, so unless you're getting this one SUPER cheap, you may want to consider costs of repair/diagnosis before plunking down the change for it.

Hi, thanks for your response. I actually got a Sony PVM-2044QM instead, in excellent condition. I'm in the UK and these usually cost a lot more than the equivalent of $50.
My model has a 1989 manufacture date, but luckily has had little use. The chassis is analogue though so no service menu, but otherwise a nice display
