So one of the previous owners of my cab spliced in a volcano button into the coin switch lines. I believe I have diagnosed the reason it wasn't working (solder joint had come loose from one connection).
I plan to mount a coin button inconspicuously (top of cab) but there has to be a cleaner way to wire both the switches to the same circuit so they both register a coin up.... Or do I just solder the wires back and call it good?

You need this:

Then you can wave goodbye to any coinbutton. :lol

i have a coin button as well as a coin door. I had my CP fully wired and done before i wired up the coin door. I Took the ground wire from the coin door, and just twisted it up with the ground from my coin button with a female disconnect, plugged it onto the ground on my coin button microswitch..did the same with the wire from coin door to coin button. Basically just spliced them into the same disconnects and ran them through my coin button microswitch.

That wont work for Omega Race, just ask PL1 , which means its a completely useless solution cause you know that 1 game wont work with it.
I went low tech, and just put a cherry in the coin return:

Haha!
I bet your eye is still twitching from reading that.
It's going to be a restless night...

I know they tend to get a bad wrap but Scotch locks can work well when used correctly.

I think I just had a stroke...

We are talking about just paralleling some 20awg stranded cable for a coin switch right? :dunno
Then why not just daisy chain it right off the coin switch
What's the big deal

How about using the coin reject buttons as credit buttons, like I did with my virtual pinball machine? I documented the step-by-step instructions to do so with the coindoor I used:
