Quick question for anyone using AnalogMame.
I was using plain old Mame and switched over to AnalogMame so the second button on my ACT-Lab gun would work, this seems to be working great.
The problem I am having is with my opti-pac. For whatever reason it is not working in AnalogMame but still works in straight Mame? I put them both in the same directory and can switch but that is a pain in MAmeWah.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
David

Most likely problem (if you are using win98/ME): optipac devices are seen as mouse/mice 2 (or up).
Quick fix: enable "singlemouse" option (for games you don't need dual TBs/guns games, which might be all?).
If you want to use multiple mice devices at the same time (marble madness), or you have winXP, or above doesn't work, post that info and I'll see if I can help.

I am running XP. I will check the trackball and mouse toight. But as I recall the TB was not working either and both are hooked to the opto-pac.

Other possiblities:
Do you have a mameanalog.ini (or whatever you renamed the exe to)? Is it the same as the mame.ini file?
Only enable the lightgun in lightgun games. Do not enable the lightgun in non-lightgun games: enable the mouse instead. Yes, there is a (IMO) major difference between the two (same with original mame).
Do not enable "multimouse_winxp" (aka "multimousexp") in single mouse games.
If you want to be able to use the lightgun and TB at the same time, enable switchablemice, and make sure the TB and it's buttons are mapped to the correct player. ("Input (this game)" for buttons, "mouse controls" for the mouse axes.)
