I'm picking this up, just half of a twin for a project. I'm looking around for a reference regarding the seat section separating from the main cabinet, but from the pictures I can find it doesn't seem to be like most other driving cabinets. Can anyone confirm?

Most of the Sega model 2 driving games have a long metal base that runs the entire length of the cab.
The front section sits on top of and is bolted to the metal base.
Here is an example from TIGER8855's build thread:

Most of the earlier cabinets bolt to the base via wood sides instead of metal, but same concept.

Good to know, thanks. Is it much effort to separate the base from the upright section of the cab? I know I see projects here with it separated, so I suppose it couldn't be too much trouble. Looks like maybe 4 bolts per side, plus hopefully easy disconnects for electrics.

Deluxe Cabinet oder Twin Cabinet?
The Deluxe has 8 screws that hold the seat to the main unit. After unscrewing, you can slide off the seat, disconnect the cables (2 connectors) and you are done.
