Title: Video music player other than windows media player
Post by: knightrdrx on January 24, 2015, 11:23:08 am
I have a juke box software for playing random 80s music..looks like Winamp and automatically starts up.
I can also have WMP as another menu choice which i plan to make a bunch of video playlists like random 80s music videos.
Is my best choice of software for video clips? Seems to be...or is there a video player type jukebox that makes the name of the file flash on the screen or something like that.

VLC is my go-to media player.  Works way better than WMP and it's free!

I use Media Player Classic with my video jukebox. But to be honest with you, I haven't found the perfect solution yet.

I use xbmc as my jukebox in maximus. Hands down the best free software to use for the juke box. I used almost every freeware out there for this purpose and nothing even compares to how amazing it looks and works. There are setting to let you use gamepads as navigational control but it was a little buggy for me. I used joy2key (I think that's the name) on start up of the jukebox and have the key stroke maped exactly how I like it. I can send you a quick video of how it looks if you'd like to see it in action
