Under Windows try setting the soundcard to 1 for soundblaster, or just download the windows version, since there isn't really much reason to run the DOS version under windows anyway.

Yes, you can and should use the windows version with MameWah.  MameWah is designed for the windows version, not the dos version.

Correct :)  The DOS version should work, although I highly recommend the Windows (commandline) version.

Nope. I am going to consider adding a command line option to do this at some point, but I need to finish updating to the newest MAME first,
