Post by: gameroomsolutions on January 18, 2015, 11:58:47 am
Hey Guys,

I recently did a blog post on ideas to setup a low maintenance touchscreen jukebox with music videos.  http://gameroomsolutions.com/build-awesome-home-jukebox/ (http://gameroomsolutions.com/build-awesome-home-jukebox/)

Here is mine

Good score on the cabinet.

Approx
PC = $250
touch screen = $225
Second monitor = $25 o (CL)
Music light kit = $35
Wood, paint, etc = $50
Speakers = (subs still in cab and used JBL book shelf speakers I had)
Audio Receiver = Already had one laying around
Cabinet = $75 (CL)

All in between $700 or $800

Value = priceless

Cool project.
Thank you for posting the details.

I would LOVE something like that in my man cave............but space is of a premium.
I ended up getting an All-in-1 23" Touchscreen Gateway PC.
I loaded it with TouchJams which I custom skinned and I'm happy with the results.
Honestly I'm yet to wall mount it, I will.
When/If the time comes and I can easily do it (IE - get the required help) I'd consider getting box of sort built for it.
Picture a shadow box, then use some of the readily available RGB light strips to jazz it.
(sorry to hijack!!!!!)

Your project is super cool !
