Post by: Blueic5 on January 10, 2015, 03:55:27 pm
Just looking at coin doors and mechanisms the one in think for instance,  however I can't see where the microswitch is on the pictures,  is it just a given that's it's on there?

Yeah, the switch goes below the coin mech.
The coin mech only determines if the coin is allowed and then if so, its let's the coin through to the switch. (http://www.retro-arcade.net/pictures/jpg/mounting/mp/coin-acceptor.jpg)

On the second pic then it looks like the metal bit at the top?   Also do these coin doors all have the ability it light up the reject button?

On the 2nd pic from your link, its the coind door without a switch or mech.
The metal tab at the top rear is for holding in the coin mech and the switch would get installed underneath the mech.
There is also a bulb on there behindthe reject button. You would typically hit that with 6 volts to light the reject.

Right that's pretty useless to me then :( I think I'll look at the happ UK catalogue thanks.

I'm thinking you may have posted in the wrong thread..   I've not been able to find anything over 19"" lcd unless that's a crt  in the pic.

Hmm,  this coin door stuff is complicated...   All I wanted was a double entry over under mini coin door and all the bits I need to get it working.   Happ catalogue is confusing also as to what parts I need to order :(
