Working on a new layout in MALA and wondering if the is a way to show the game name instead of the rom name in a text box. When I use g_name it shows the rom name.

Thanks man, not sure how I missed it. Second question, is there a way to make the text wrap to a second line for the names that are longer?

Text wrap I havent seen.. Although, in mala there is a way to truncate the stuff in brackets like: (set 2) I just dont remember where in the config it is..
I'm guessing your talking about games like the "Super Street Fighter II X: UBER Grand Master Turbo Tournament Battle Championships anhhhh"

Exactly. I found were I can drop everything within the brackets but a few game names are still way to long.

Which ones? I just manually renamed them to something simpler.
Example:
Super Street Fighter 2 : The New Challengers became Super SF2
Super Street Fighter 2 : Turbo became Super SF2 Turbo
For me the name didnt have to be exact, because my skin had a marquee, and a snapshot, and after a second a gameplay video played over the snapshot.

You just made me think of another idea..
In Mala you can use images (marquee) instead of Text.. Seen it in the wiki I think, might be an option for you ;D

I use the marquees in the scrolling list but I also have the game name in writing above the snapshot in my layout.
