I finally got ALL my Bills paid up...
So this year I plan to finally get my arcade project going.
I want two MAME machines done.
1- An all purpose machine for the likes of Qbert, Pac-Man, Popeye, TMNT, Simpsons, etc.
2- a dedicated Star Wars/Jedi. Spy Hunter, Paperboy cabinet.
the first Order of business for my 3D Printer is to print the star wars controller in full scale, after I design it in 3D pieces. But, I'd need the electronics for the inside and a how to assemble them article, if such things exist.
can anyone point me in the right direction?

Good luck 3D printing a SW yoke frame that will hold up to the forces generated during gameplay.
The how-to-assemble part is here (http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Yoke_Rebuild) in the wiki.
The electronic part is an analog encoder (http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Analog_Encoders) like KADESTICK. (see sig, several posts in the thread have info like SW yoke pinouts, etc.)

You should consider reaching out to user HairyDVD. He was looking to reproduce a star wars yoke

The main chassis is built like a tank. There are so many welds in the yoke housing, I bet you could drive an 18 Wheeler over it.
