Okay so looking at my coin door I see that one coin reject has a flap covering it and the other does not....
This is an OCD nightmare see pic below
(http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=136713.0;attach=321783;image)
Question 1: Can these be sourced? Or should I just remove the flapper on the right side?
Question 2: Is there good source for how to disassemble a Happ over/under door?
Question 3: Are all Happ coin mechs interchangeable? More specifically will this one from Tornado Terry fit my door?

no need it is straight foward 1/8" hex nut's from the back, and 4-6 screw's on the hinge side if u are re-paiting it?,if not all work is done from the coin mech side of the door

Happ parts can be purchased from happ. Lol
Their website lists replacement parts. http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/coin_doors/40-0038-00 (http://na.suzohapp.com/amusement_products/coin_doors/40-0038-00)

TQ has it too.

If your OCD is strong enough, buy a couple so they don't look out of place when one is weathered and the other is brand new. Hell, maybe buy the little bezels too, some TLC to the metal door and you'll have that showroom look.

Lol Chance! We think alike! I already bought two bezels from TQ because when I took everything apart per eds duh-proof instructions I noticed the return bezels were different frame sizes. I only bought the one flapper though, I am going to finish the coin dor with a slightly less traditional finish and will have to paint both anyway.
Thanks for the responses! This place gets me chuffed

:applaud: OCD gets OCD. I completely understand.
...less traditional you say?
-
Spoilers......
Suffice to say I had some delusions of grandeur in the advance auto parts paint section this week.

Flaked gold with a blood red base? >:D

I hate to be a Negative Nellie, but I have NEVER seen a coin door look good in any color other than black.

I've said my peace. It's pretty much a consensus on the board, if you search for it. However, as always, you are free to do what you want, bro. >:D

"First World BYOAC Problems" ::)

Speaking of First World BYOAC problems, do you guys think these are different shades of blue or the same with different photography, I definitely am leaning towards a lighter shade so the custom inserts I am working on will show up better.

I'm pretty sure they're all the same. Apparently, the blue ones are harder to find than the other colors, too.

Chrome looks good on a Defender. Otherwise it needs to be like Johnny Cash and dressed in black.
-
It will be sort of black.... in a Wayne Brady or Neil DeGrasse Tyson way.
