Those programmers left out the carriage returns and visual gaps that should have been in their "documentation".

There is a useful feature (fullscreen mode) buried in the wall-o-text.

Make a batch file or shortcut to the executable and add the "--fullscreen" switch.

"C:\Games\madbomber-0.2.5\madbomber.exe --fullscreen"

I assumed I could and was really looking forward to playing Kaboom! with my spinner.  I don't have Stella installed on my cabinet yet though so this is sad news to me.

Great job converting the graphics so far.   That looks great.

Wall of text documentation usually means a unix format which word just makes a wall. Try opening the documentation in notepad++

I brought your video up on one monitor and the original Kaboom on another.  Fantastic job LT.  Just awesome! :notworthy:

I'm not getting sound for some reason with your video.

You should hear the sound when playing this way.

This threw me off.    I'm with the program now.    ;)

OK.  I'm in.  I've always LOVED Kaboom and the emulator controls do indeed suck.

However, am I missing something?  I can't find the replacement files that you made (graphics and sound) anywhere.  Is there a link that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!

If you're doing pizzas it's gotta be the Noid tossing them. Better than the turtle theme imo. Since he already had a nintendo game it should be easy as the sprites are out there. Dominoes boxes for the stack.  And if you're sticking with a classic Noid "anti pizza" theme you could stay with bombs or ice balls since Dominoes pizza repelled the attacks of the Noid.  If you going with the pizza loving Yo! Noid then have him toss pizzas to boxes.

tried game, liked it... 1 of my fav game in the Atari 2600....

Anyway, when game is over, it says "Pres Button bla bla bla..." but I keep clicking button and it won't restart. You have to push ESC key and brings you back to main menu.

Maybe a Holy Grail theme with a Knight tossing cows over the side of the castle wall.  That could be fun.

:laugh2: 3 shields to replace the buckets. Moos for the splash sound. And a nice sample of "Jesus Christ!" for the one-up.

That would be the tits.  Maybe, "Filthy English pig-dogs!" or "I fart in your general direction!"

Got this installed tonight and played a few games.  Much, much more fun with a spinner.  Thanks again LT.

Newb question - do I need the AHK script you posted earlier to play full screen and remove the mouse pointer?

I don't mean to poo poo all the work you've done, but I am able to work the buckets pretty nicely using MESS, emulating the original game.  I just got to level 7 with my spinner and I am by no means great at this game.  You have to set mouse = 1, map the mouse x axis to left/right, select sensitivity = 100%, and select 'paddle' controllers in MESS.  The sounds and video are pretty much perfect as far as I can tell.  I would avoid Stella.

What version of MESS are you running?

Haven't been able to get paddles/spinner working in 0.152.   :dunno

Yeah quite a bit older version: v0.106.  Seems like the more I upgrade MESS the more issues I run into on the systems I actually care about (a2600, a5200, a7800, intv, etc).
If your frontend supports it, you can select your favorite paddle games to use the older 106 version and use the newer version for other games.

No just plain old mess.  On my cocktail cabinet, I am running a newer version of groovy UME (v0.152 I think), but I don't have analog controls (spinner/trackball) on that one.
