Title: Wiring Solenoid for arcade gun
Post by: tylerwerrin on December 30, 2014, 09:22:16 pm
Hi guys,

I purchased a few solenoids from the internet and found a great product that is only 40 cents and provides a nice amount of "kick". I think it is the same size as Andy's solenoid, although I am not sure. Right now I am planning on wiring it up but I am not sure how to make the trigger & kick of the solenoid "momentary". I was planning on tapping into the trigger switch, but if I held the trigger down it would heat up the solenoid fairly quickly (i'm using a 36v 10amp power supply on a 12v solenoid).

Has anyone one accomplished this? Are there any good write ups on this site I could use?

Thanks!

Tyler
