Hi,
I am building my first Arcade Control panel.
I bought two player kit with illuminated joysticks & buttons.
I am going to wire the button leds to a PacLED64 and they seems straight forward.
However, I have a question regarding wiring the joysticks to the PacLED64.
The joysticks come with a 2 wire cable (red [15v] / black [GND]) to illuminate the joysticks and I'm not sure how to attach them to the PacLED64. Should I wire the joystick black[GND] wire to one of the "+" pins on the PacLED64 and the red[15v] wire to one of the 1 - 64 pins on the PacLED64 (I am assuming that the "+" pins are ground and the 1-64 pins are positive 15v's - is this correct?) - or should I wire it them other way round?
Any help would be much appreciated.

+ does not mean ground. Time for you too Google some basic electrical videos.

I am not exactly sure which product you have, as the only illuminated joystick handles we have are RGB and they have 4 wires, none of which are black.

Hi Andy,
The joysticks I bought can be see here : http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/Illuminated-Arcade-Joystick.html (http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/Illuminated-Arcade-Joystick.html)
I was planning to illuminate them using a PacLED64 but now i'm not sure that the joysticks are suitable.
I'm a noob electrician so have been searching for some relevant tutorials as suggested.
If you know of any good tutorials that would be great.

These are not our joysticks but they are single-color if they only have 2 wires so you could simply connect the wires to a 12 volt source such as a wall adaptor, or tap into a hard drive power connector.

I will give tapping into one of the molex connectors a go so.
Thanks Andy.
