Well, I'm building my second cab, the first one turned out bad ass; my kids and I have spent many hours playing it.
On my first cab, I kept the screen flat with not tilt at all. I just didn't see the need. Yet, I have been eyeballing some nice looking cabs on the internet and many have tilted back screens. I think it looks cool but is there any need or purpose for it?
And yes, I did a search first but didn't find a satisfactory answer. So anyway I would like to know what you all thought.
Also if you do have a cab with a tilted screen could you let my know what's an optimal angle please.
Oh, and its nice to be back; its been a few years. ;D

Welcome back!
For my first cabinet I slightly tilted the monitor but it is basically straight up and down. I'm very happy with that configuration but what I've found from playing dedicated machines is that I prefer to pay most of the horizontal "classics" with a tilted monitor. Looking down at games like Pac Man or Frogger seems more natural to me. For this reason my next cabinet will have a vertical and tilted monitor. Conversely horizontal games from the late 80's and 90's seem better to me on a non-tilted monitor. There isn't really a correct answer. I'm probably just using the above as an excuse for a second cabinet. ;D
