Why did most arcade games use only One big filter capacitor? instead of using multiple filter capacitors?

They call the Big capacitor in the manuals a condsenser capacitor
it is in parallel with the bridge rectifier before the regulator

Back in the day the technology wasn't quite up to snuff with regards to power generation and regulation across the circuit board when it came to hot delicious frothy milk for the processors morning latte so a big capacitor was needed to be the condenser and condense the milk from the subordinate or female lactating capacitors. Once condensed this milk made a tasty treat for the processors to pour into their joe before they started a rough day of whatever it is they do. Probably sitting around the water cooler berating women. Kooky 80s tech. So outdated.

the Big caps values ranges from 10,000uF to 26,000 uf.
Why do they use cause a large value for what reason to filter out RF and EMF ?

but the Big CAP is After the Rectifier diodes and before the Regulator
Rectifier diodes--BIG CAP--Regulator---Filter caps
See how the BIG cap is before the regulator and filter caps ?
The Big CAP is not a filter cap, it's filtering out something else or acting as a storage capacitance, if the power AC is interrupted , the arcade game will stay on

The filter caps after the regulator filter the DC
The filter cap before the regulator filters the DC
So what is the difference? causing a cap before the regulator compared to using a cap after the regulator?

because the regulator isn't INSTANT acting when the power load starts to dip. capacitors are.
regulator handles the gross voltage changes the cap filters out the tiny changes in voltage to smooth it out. Large values (1,000's of uF) can supply huge current while the regulator acts to adjust the voltage....smaller caps (10's and 100's of uF) can fill out little ripples and harmonics in the power feed.

I just don't understand how the Big cap before the regulator does what with the regulator , it helps the regulator out somehow with input line regulation

a cap is a big storage device
the larger the mf's/uf's the better
so when a load is placed on a supply the cap can use the stored engry and keep
the line voltage stable
