My account is activated, but I cannot send messages or view profiles (was trying to get in contact with another member). Is there something an admin needs to do to fully activate my account?
I also keep having to do a verification image for every action like posting...

IIRC, the forums will automatically enable your PMs somewhere between 3 and 5 posts. :dunno
The verification images should be disabled automatically, too.
Saint is just trying to keep spammers from overrunning the site -- they still make it through sometimes. :badmood:
