Hi
I recently bought a hand made MAME arcade cabinet table on ebay. Was working fine when I picked it up but got home and now when I turn it on there is an MaLa error message "Error reading game list file". Also the screen shows an issue with the active directory and asks me to restart but I cannot do this either
Not sure if this help but it runs off of windows XP.
Im no expert so would appreciate any assistance. Plus would be prepared to pay someone to come round and take a look if required as not comfortable messing about to much
Thanks

Are you sure it has game Roms installed on it.That error ususally means that Mala the front end is not correctly linked to the roms folder or not pointed to the Dat file . Did you move any files around, or change anything on it?

Hi
to be honest i dont really know. When i collected it from seller he gave me a demo and showed me the games list. Maybe something happened then as im guessing the error wouldnt have occured during transist as machine was off
How would i point Mala to roms folder/Dat file
Thanks

Hi
Appreciate your help but I really have no clue
I've looked in mala.exe error log and message is cannot find D:\MALA\ALL GAMES.mlg
When I've looked in that directory there is no all games.mlg file therefore I suspect that this file has either been moved or deleted.
How can I re-create or find what happen to this file
Thanks and sorry for being a complete amateur
