This summer I got my hands on a cabinet. It took me almost all year but I got it running for the most part. The control panel was just full of holes. Taking the lazy way out I just bought a new one from ebay. I chose the silver color to break up all the black.
I kept the cabinet black because it's easier for me to just touch up paint. #lazy
I was pissed because I didn't bother to measure the panel dimensions and the dynamo panel I got was about 2" wider then the one I had. I took it to work and had the guys there take the extra width off.
I replaced all the barrel locks with these nice keyless options, since there's no real need to have keys (or loose them).
The monitor wouldn't fire up so I replaced it with a 24" LED. The first LED I bought was refurbished through Walmart and go figure it was DOA.
All I really need to do now is cable clean up, replace the marquee light and art and maybe some more paint touch up.
I won't lie, this has been a rewarding, frustrating, time consuming, expensive project. I'm glad with what I got, but you'll never see me do this again.

I love the cut-corner cabs. You say you'll never do it again... most folks do. Then the bug bites...
Well, I need to change this. and that. and upgrade this other thing... ya know what? I'll just build a new one. (and so it begins)

Love those cut corner dynamos. Do me a favor and make the buttons colors line up on both players, my OCD is acting up.

First, paint comes in all sorts of colors now. Secondly, what will you be doing with this cabinet that will require so much touch up?

There's just some scuffs and scratches you can't see I need to touch up.
As far as different colors, I didn't want to mess with that.
