Title: desperate help needed please
Post by: eddweed on December 16, 2003, 05:18:37 pm
Hi. I've got an Hantarex MTC9000 and a cap kit from andy's arcade. I started to change the caps and after the 4th one I noticed there was 2 C56's and 2C57's on the board. After looking more I realised that the 4 caps I fitted from the instructions were different from the ones I took out (my fault for not checking as I removed them). On speaking to Andy's Arcade they got a chassis of the shelf and mine is different from there's. I've looked everywhere I can think of but can only find info on the common chassis I unfortunately don't have. Has anyone had this problem before and know where I can get a copy of the wiring diagram. I have tried Hantarex(UK) but they won't give out any advise on something this old as someone tried to sue them last year saying they gave out wrong info. Thanks for reading this and hopefully being able to help

Have you downloaded some of the Hantarex monitor manuals at www.mikesarcade.com ?

Hantarex was well known for mismarking parts and capacitor polarity on the silkscreened circuit boards.

Try also checking with the folks at Zanen Electronics in Texas. They make capacitor kits for many makes and models of monitors and may be able to help.
