the jug >picture tube< will have  it's mfg date on it...this is the part of concern..
ie emision's/brightness/contrast/over-all foucs etc..
the chassic is of no real concern,a 20$ cap kit and away u go..
the scratch's use tooth paste on them, bang there gone

On further inspection today it's a D7700.  Minor burn in from what looks to be a 60-in-1, and two hairline scratches on the front glass. nothing to really shake a stick at.  Got them down on the price too when i showed them it wouldn't power on. yotsuya and the guys over at KLOV were a big help as well.

I've found the service PDF's on the WG site too. I'm going to have a few questions later for sure. I figure it no older then Sept 2006.

Here's hoping i can make something out of this. If not it will be a nice way to learn more about CRT's :)

Good for you, bro. ---smurfing--- with monitors is the first step into escaping the MAME mentality and moving on to Collector Status. I was terrified the first time I did a cap kit on a real monitor. Now, I've actually taught people how to do them.
