Title: Joysticks advice (newbie)
Post by: Blueic5 on November 15, 2014, 10:53:24 am
Hi

I've been building my cab for a couple of years now,  anyway I thought I'd start on the Control panel.   I've built the panel based on lusid design and 3/4 "mdf.   So joysticks I'd rather mount from underneath to save routing as I just for now plan to paint and seal the top. Games I like are sf2, final fight etc but want play other games too.   So initially was thinking a sanwa jlf but sounds a faff changing between 4/8 way and I'd need to route the top.   Came across the ultimarc u360's ball tops and they appear to be bottom mountable.   I see they do a top restrictor too which maybe useful and give it a nice feel.   Is this my best bet will the throw be to long?   Do I need to change the spring?   Suggestions please :)  oh and these would save me buying an ipac for now.

U360. Octagonal restrictor. Stiff spring. Lube the pivot with plumber's silicone grease. You're welcome.

Thanks,  would I need the longer shaft?   I take it you would go with this over the front mounted restrictor kit?
