Are there any good frontends that work with Mame32?
On a side note, when you install a trackball can you set that to act as a mouse for browsing between emus?
-
well thats kinda the point of mame32 is that it has a front end built into it, why would you want to use a front end with it you might as well use MAME
and no, i dont think front ends work with mame32

They can, but as it's clunky it's never recomended. As the man said, use mame if you want to use a stand-alone front end.

Here here :)
As for the trackball, it will do whatever your mouse does...switching between emu's etc. will depend on the software you're running...

If you run a front end like mame32 that supports mouse input then you can use your trackball in the frontend.
Mame32 is mame with a built-in front end. If you want to use another front end you should use Windows Command line Mame instead of mame32.

I like using myHTPC [www.myhtpc.net] as a frontend to all my emulators and music programs. I saw it on someone elses cab but for the life of me I can not remember the name of the project or the guys name.
