I'm almost done setting up a hyperspin based cabinet and was wondering whether it's at all worthwhile to install Future Pinball or Visual Pinball on it. It's a horizontal cab with a 21 inch monitor. If I do it, I will put side buttons on the cab....just not sure how it will look since I've seenost installs on large LCDs in vertical positions.

I was going back and forth myself on this one, mostly because I have an old 4:3 TV in there.
But I've played and quite enjoyed Pinball Arcade on my Vita and PS3 on what's basically a widescreen horizontal TV. I'm sure vertical would be better but it is still fun.

Future Pinball or Virtual Pinball would suck on an old 4:3 tv. 480i is way too low of a resolution for pinball games. Pinball arcade IS awesome. i agree. I just played it on the PS4 and it looks incredible.

I love visual pinball ..it is an interesting and exciting addition..but I've only played on LED monitors and TVs. Side buttons are a must for the authentic feel

And that's why I currently haven't drilled the holes for the buttons yet. Figured it wouldn't be good on that TV.

I had both installed on my cab for a while, but found I really never played them. The screen was a bit too small for me (I use a 19"). The side buttons do come in handy with my modular panel though as left and right for moving around menus. So something good came out of it. :)

Works fine with my cabinet. I made a video of it a LONG time ago, here it is:
