Greetings,
I cant seem to get my trackball to work for Golden Tee in Mame152b. I have read that I need to open the mame.ini file and change mouse from 0 to 1. However, I don't have a mame.ini, nor can I seem to locate how to get one created. Most of the forums are older, thus the information is generally related to older versions of the emulators etc, or involve hyperspin which Im not using (Im using Maximus Arcade for information).
I know my trackball is working because its operation as the mouse.
Anyone have any ideas?
My general knowledge level is weak at best, so simple replies would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

open notepad, type:
mame.exe -cc
(create config)
when you go to save it, save it as "all file types" and add the extension .bat to the name.
This is a batch file.
Put it in the same folder as mame.exe
double click on it
that should create mame.ini

Not sure of your depth of Mame knowledge here, but I'm guessing you are aware of how to configure the controls in Mame.
Load up your game and press the TAB key, go to 'Configure This Game',the second choice down, and find 'Analog X' and 'Analog Y'. Press ENTER on Analog X and spin the trackball horizontally. It should re-populate with your trackball, like 'mouse 3' or whatever it is. Then press ENTER on Analog Y and spin the trackball vertically.
If that doesn't do it, you may have to use a different version of Mame. If you need a better version of Mame, PM me and I'll do my best to hook you up! Hope that helps.
If anyone wants to add to this info, please do!
