He just posted what appears to be a simulated night vision picture of someone's garbage...
-
someone's garbage...
You sound like my wife, chad. Those are theater chairs!
-
I vote go for it, grab them, put new covering on them and set up a Cinema Bench :)

.

Hope the neighbor's cat hasn't peed on it. :lol
-
so how well did they clean up?
-
I would not be able to resist, even though they don't look comfortable and you have to share an armrest.
-
What do you mean, go get them? Those are sitting in his yard right now.
-
They're actually still in the neighbor's trash pile. They don't sell like pee (yet). Wife's teaching tonight, so we'll see if they sprout legs....
-
I would have decided to go get them immediately after posting last night.
Only loosely related, but just a few weeks ago I spent several days looking for an old school audio cabinet.
Was dumbfounded by how much they cost online. Went to a few furniture stores looking for one in vain.
Came home that same evening and there was one with the neighbor's garbage directly across from the end of my driveway.
Haven't had that kind of crazy luck for quite a while. It's not like I was looking for some common item like an office chair.
It cleaned up real nice.
Trash is fun.

Friend of mine made thousands stripping out a two screen movie theater that was converted to college classrooms. Granted that was about 10 years ago, but it was flat out amazing what people would pay for the things. IIRC, he was getting $250-500 each and shipping them all over the country. What did he spend all that money on? An HD projector probably worth $50 now. :lol
Not having a truck really dings the trash pilfering game.

Well now... That kind of redefines "Horse Thief"!

Here I thought the decision was to drop a duece or not in the cooler.
-
Went back out there tonight with a friend. Couldn't bring myself to drag it home.
Someone took the cooler.

@SpaceHedgehog next project will be theater seats #byopredictions
-
I would have dragged them home, spent $60 and two days refurbishing them, then got bored with them and sold them at a loss.
-
Most of the other junk had been hauled off by this morning, theater seats still there.

Put a spinner in the left armrest, 3 buttons in the right, and play Star Trek on the big screen.

What??? Surely you jest!
(Would anyone like a cold beverage?)

My nook of Houston still has garbage men that will take ANYTHING. After many years of forced recycling in San Antonio, it is a welcome change. Those chairs were long gone circa 10am Wednesday.
