Post by: bandicoot on October 31, 2014, 03:58:41 pm
Hello
I've got a problem with a hd 4890 saphirre vapor-x 2go when i connect it with a LCD in vga , dvi or HDMI i have picture but when i try to connect to my arcade monitor it doesn't work ( it's ok with a 4650 )
I try to flash it with ATOM but no luck
Does it mean i need a EDID dongle ?

The EDID dongle won't help, it is a monitor detection issue (i.e. load detection, not EDID detection). It should be possible to get it working by using the right output (usually DVI with DVI->VGA adapter). If that fails too, the only solution is to force detection with something similar to this:
