Title: Anyone play DDR-Ultramix yet?
Post by: Frostillicus on December 14, 2003, 06:45:24 pm
I've read the reviews, the consensus is that it's the "best DDR game yet".  Of course I'm sure the pad sucks.  I still have plans on building my own, so that's not really an issue.

Basically my ultimate goal is to build a metal pad with 8 outer trigger-pads and a center solid one to use with both stepmania and hopefully DDR Ultramix.  But I'd need to configure the keys in stepmania to hit the top diagonals.  I've not seen a homebuilt one like that (mostly just the arcade 4-way version), so I think it'd be cool.  I'm looking at Riptide's (http://www.digitaltorque.com/mydancepad/) plans for the construction and using  tubing (http://members.lycos.co.uk/monkeybroadcasting/mbcimages/iamattractive2.jpg) instead of weather stripping.  Thoughts? Nice holiday project me thinks. :)

Edit - I figured out how to remap keys in stepmaniax - had to do it manually through the INI file.
