Heya,
I have an ATI Radeon 32mb running ArcadeOS 2.47 on my cab -- ArcadeOS will come up however when I attempt to select a game it just goes to a black screen. I have narrowed it down to some sort of misconfiguration/incompatibility between ArcadeOS and the video Card.
Has anyone else had this problem, if so how can I fix it?
Thanks,
Jack

It's probably your sound card. Try to run mame from the command line and see if it comes up. If not 99% chance it's the sound card misconfigured.

actually I'm a little more thorough than that. I know dos very well. I eliminated everything but the video card. It will not work with ArcadeOS and regular MAME. I heard someone said they got it working with vsyncmame and arcadeos.
I REM'd out the lines for the sound card awhile prior to posting the first message. Any other Ideas??

ArcadeOS works perfectly fine if I reboot unplug the TVout and use the standard vga output. But If it is just the TVOUT or BOTH TVOUT and Monitor, it craps out upon launching a game.

You are 100% correct. I have a ATI Rage Mobility (AGP) with TV out. When I install it, the PC crashes when ArcadeOS starts up. I replaced the ATI with a Matrox G100 and it works perfect. So I isolated it to the ATI Card. I am also stuck with no solution at this point.
I am running MSDOS 6.22 with dmame nd ArcadeOS 2.47. I cannot find any drivers for the ATI in DOS. Do you have any special software for DOS or are you running Windows ?
Any assistance will be helpful.
Hope you find a solution.
Cheers,
