Title: Need help xbox (1) arcade control panel
Post by: Glendalara on October 29, 2014, 09:28:38 am
Hi, I'm trying to build an arcade using a modded xbox. I have everything ready just I need help on how to make my xbox controller into an arcade control panel. I know I can buy the xarcade joystick but, just doesn't look that nice to me. I was looking into doing this:

Does anyone know how to do this any how to videos out there and the list of things I need to buy?

Please help me thank you

Hello and welcome to the forum.  The video you posted actually outlines the concepts pretty well.

What questions do you have specifically?  Do you know how to solder or is that what you are seeking help with?  Or do you need more help with assembling the control panel?

We can help but more specific questions will help us to help you.  Also, read through the forums, use the search, most questions you have are likely already answered.  I would specifically recommend reading through the Project Announcement forum.  Those threads often have a lot of step by step photos that double as a tutorial.

Thanks for the replies... To be honest I'm lost on the whole thing I don't know where to start. Soldering isn't a problem my boyfriend said he would do it for me but, I need to tell him what to solder where .

Again, check with Rablack97. He's done some tinkering on some custom PCBs that should make it easier.

The video you linked to says to skip the soldering and gives linkage to the kade in the description.

Check out the KADE encoder here (http://kadevice.com).

For a list of other locations where you can get KADE-compatible AVRs, see the link in my sig.

EDIT2: Site's back up.
