Title: Hand Candy + Versa Shaft + Competition/Eurostick, has anyone tried this?

I'm really excited right now -

I'm currently building a standard 2 player control stick with IL Eurosticks. I like bat tops, and it seemed like every game I grew up with had bat tops. But then I thought about it and realized like half the games I played either had or were SUPPOSED to have ball tops. So I started to plan in my head an expensive second control panel with Wico joysticks. But it would have to wait for a long time. Now I'm thinking I could just use hand candy balls on new shafts? Whenever I played in the arcade I NEVER noticed a difference between bat top or ball top (with grommet/leaf switches) feeling. It wasn't until around 2000 that I became aware of microswitches/leafs and consciously looked for it.

It looks like Randy even has accurate Wico colors?

Has anyone tried this combo, what's your experience?

I have a Competition with the Versa Shaft. I like it better than the Bat top.
