Title: MiniPac Wiring
Post by: newoski on October 19, 2014, 10:21:44 pm
Hi Guys,

Quick question about MiniPac wiring.  I had planned to use a friend's WinIPAC layout, but now I'm adding 2 extra buttons for Pinball Flippers.

I've created my own layout in WinIPAC, but I'm confused about the SW assignments.

So long as I map the desired keyboard key to the desired button/SW, does it matter which SW I assign to each button?

Put another way, as an example, could I randomly assign SW(s) for player 1 and 2 without creating problems... so long as I keep track of my SW to Key mappings?

Thanks so much,

Owen

You can assign any keystroke to any input that you like.

There is some overlap between the MAME defaults and the less flexible Visual Pinball/Future Pinball defaults.

You can wire more than one switch to a single input.
