Just realized I posted an earlier thread in a wrong forum :embarassed:
Anyway, I am trying to find the best way to feed my light gun cable into my cab, and was wondering what would look best. I'm hoping to make it look neater than just feeding the cable through a hole....was thinking if there is something like a grommet or something that I can line the hole with so that it looks nice and also will be smooth for the cable to be fed through when not in use....rather than having excess cable on the outside. I was thinking of making a retractable USB cable to the gun but that would involve dismantling the gun and having to wire it properly...too much effort.
Thoughts?

I Googled "rubber cable boot" and got a number of interesting possibilities that would look better than just a "cable through a hole".
Depending on what your cab looks like, you might also consider a small piece of Vinyl, sew it into a boot (like a shift boot in a car), and tuck it/staple in place.

A button with the plunger removed and the bottom cut off works great.
good day.

That's a great idea!
Couple that with something like this

The button bezel works great. I used the same method for bass ports on my cab

I used the SwitchCraft USB and HDMI ports (like the one above) on my cab.
If its a continuous cable, one option is to get a metal disk, like 1.5" in diameter or something drill a hole in the middle of it, paint or powdercoat it to match the cab, and put a rubber grommet in it.
I built a car from the ground up and did quite a few plates like that where I needed a wire passthrough that looked good. (In my case, they were polished aluminum.)
