Title: GroovyMame 0.155?
Post by: 8BitMonk on October 17, 2014, 03:14:44 pm
Mame 0.155 was released the other day and I was curious how long it usually takes to update GroovyMame. Just a ballpark... days, weeks, months?

Thanks!

I'd say that demand for groovymame 155 will be high given that raiden dx is not working in regular mame 155!

Raiden II, and Raiden DX, all versions, work fine* in regular 0.155, we made damn sure of that.

* as far as we can see, comparing with videos and based on player feedback

Haven't tested yet but definitely that is what I had understood from your blog.

I'm guessing that he meant *now* working in regular mame 155.

You might be able to just apply the groovymame 154 diff to the mame 155 source and build it yourself.

Thanks Calamity! It's been awhile since I've compiled my own, is there any difference in compiling groovymame vs. regular mame? .

In the past I've used Headkaze's compiler to apply the hi score and no nag patches to vanilla mame, can you verify I can use it to compile groovymame. http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=mame&page=mc64 (http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=mame&page=mc64)

Will it make a huge difference? I am running GroovyMame 154 with my new 155 romset. Haven't found a non working game yet. Although I am sure some exist.

regarding general mame update info, 'what's new' mame text file is always useful:
