Title: help with cocktail control panel

hi, Im currently building a cocktail coffee table style cab which is based on the surface tension tables. I want the same style CP and I cannot work out how it will slide in and out of the table.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve this? its got me totally stumped!! its driving me crazy, its all I need to work out to finish my build.

Just a thought on where to look and get inspiration,
how about modifying the pull out rails used for servers and some ups'
