Hi All,
There's a faulty Suzuka 8 hours for sale near me and I was wondering if anyone had set one up with a PC and emulator. Any thoughts on difficulty with doing this?
Cheers

Not hard since there's no force feedback.
You'd either use an A-Pac or U-HID, both available from ultimarc.
Just wire it to the controls already in the machine.
Interfacing the monitor might be more of a problem.
You'd need to swap in something that works with a standard PC or get an ArcadeVGA.
There may be other ways. I'm not well versed on arcade monitors.

Hi, I've interfaced two Suzuka 8 Hours bikes to the PC and PS2 using a PS2 Yamaha motorcycle controller as the interface. In addition to Badmouth's suggestions, you can also use the MS Dual Strike. For the PC, I played EA's Motoracer, Super Hang On, Manx TT, Motor Raid and others but I'm not a big fan of Suzuka. As BadMouth mentioned, you can go the ArcadeVGA route for the monitors. Good luck with the project if you buy the game.

Thanks guys. That's great news. Depending on what monitor chassis are in it I could also try the ATI HD cards with CRT_EMUDriver. Agree about the Suzuka game. Not too captivating but was hoping that I could get some other good games on it. Now I just need to work out how to create some space for it. Might have to do the unthinkable and get rid of one of the other machines. Or get the wife to start parking outside ;D

Not sure if the cab is a regular upright with only the steer or a sit-down cab with moving bike, but if the movement is pot controlled you can also hack a 10 dollars PC analog joypad
have fun! ;)

It's actually a twin sit down so should be good if I can fit it in.
