I acquired a parted-out cabinet a while back that I've been slowly converting into a MAME cab. From the impression left on the cabinet it looked like it had only a single 6" speaker under the marquee.
Rather than modify the cabinet to include 2:1 audio, I would rather replicate the original mono sound output. Therefore, I am looking for suggestions on how I would go about setting up a system that would convert the stereo output from the PC to mono for the arcade speaker. I know that I will need an amplifier between the source and the speaker but other than that, I'm not sure what cables, converters, etc. I would need to achieve the desired output.
If anyone's done a similar setup with their cabinet and can offer any suggestions, I would appreciate if you could share your ideas on the matter.
Thanks!

Take 1 of a set of PC speakers, remove the amp board from the case / speaker... run the speaker wire from the amp board to the speaker / jpac etc...
Very simple

Simplest way. I used this when I converted my 1929 radio cabinet to a glorified bluetooth speaker system/jukebox.
