I wanted to order an inexpensive 2 1/4" trackball that only has a PS2 cable.
Can I use an active USB to PS2 adapter for these as I'm using a laptop that doesn't have PS2 on it?
I've used these adapters for mice and keyboards before with no issue.
Here is a link to the one I'm looking at as it has the best reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Ziotek-PS2-Keyboard-USB-Adapter/dp/B000BSJFJS (http://www.amazon.com/Ziotek-PS2-Keyboard-USB-Adapter/dp/B000BSJFJS)

It'll probably work, so long as the device is supported by your operating system.

I use it with the sparkfun trackball in mame.
so far it has worked in windows XP,7 & Linux.
It even works on my raspberry pi.
No driver needed.

Thank you. I'll give it a try.
