Hi there!
Im new to this forum so i should start by introducing myself.
Im Alex, from Denmark and im 35 years old. As a summer project for my self i decided to start building my own arcade, to for fill my childhood dream of owning my own arcade.
Currently im not far from being done, with the hardware part. I will create a separate build thread, later on, but i can show you a picture of my cabinet as it looked a couple of weeks ago

And now to my question :)
Are you guys able to play mouse controllede amiga games properly on your arcade, if so how?

Honestly, if I wanted to play mouse-controlled Amiga games, I'd do it on my main PC, not an arcade cabinet. But that's me.

But that really doesn´t answer my question

Use a trackball. Invert the axis. That is how I'd look to do it if I wanted to.
The correct answer will be more likely if you present which emulator and which game you are trying to play with a mouse.

But that really doesn´t answer my question
Q: Are you guys able to play mouse controllede amiga games properly on your arcade, if so how?
A: This guy is not able to play mouse controllede amiga games properly on his arcade because it's not set up to.

I guess ill use WinUAE and to name some of the games that i remember to be great games
- Cannon fodder
- Dune
- Ports of call
- Oil Imperium
- Defender of the crown
- Syndicate
It was just to tap in to your experiences trying to play games like that on an arcade :)

Years ago ppjoy would have been suggested. You can still find it, but its not really in development anymore. You may consider reading about autohotkey, but I don't know if that is what it is used for.
There are arcade style USB trackballs available. Looking at your bartop, I don't think that will be an option.
Alternatively, you could do like I do. When I need to use a mouse on my arcade. I do. But it ruins the experience and there is really no room.
You have more free surface area on your CP than I do on my CP. You should use a small wireless mouse if you attempt this. Another option is one of those gryation presentation mice. I had one that I was convinced I was going to stuff into an arcade style gun. I could point it like a gun though. *shrug*
Similarly I have Sins of a Solar Empire, which I don't play because of its dependence on a mouse and my best PC is in my mame cabinet.
Lastly, you could try a touchscreen.

I hear you, my friend. And I don't mean to come off sounding like a cabsole, but it's been my experience that these games don't translate well over to a cab with standard arcade controls. That's what I was hoping to show.
