I've tried Game Launcher, 3Darcade, and others . . . but still can't get both MAME and the FE to run vertical.
If I use mame 32 I can get mame to play the games vertical, but these FE's don't use mame32. So, I try command line Mame and have no luck. I can get the FE's to load vertical, but as soon as the game is launched it is launched horizontal.
I am using a 19" Eygo VGA monitor that is only capable of 640x480, so PivotPro, Nvidia, ATI rotation is out of the question.
Any advice?
-
-set rol or ror to 1 in mame.ini
or
-add some commandlines to your fe's mame emulator setup
for 3darcade for example:
10|mame|-rol|
if your monitor is rotates then
-use mames autorot option in mame.ini
or
-make a copy of mame.ini and call it vertical.ini and in it set rol or ror to 1
or
add some commandlines to your fe's mame emulator setup
for 3darcade:
15|vertical|-rol|

Why? Hardware doens't rotate at that resolution?

Thanks. . . I was adjusting the mame.cgf file not the .ini file for vertical rotation.
Yes. Much to my dissapointment my Nvidia and ATI cards won't rotate at 640x480 -- I receive an error message that states that rotation isn't allowed at the selected resoloution.
As for Pivot Pro, when attempting to rotate I either lose the necessary resolution to run vetical games or it will only run games in a windowed mode. I haven't been able to work around it.

Anyone able to help me set this up for Glauncher or Emuxalian?
I can get it to rotate now, but if I escape out of a game, glauncher crashes.
