Which other FE's are DOS based? now?
Years ago i used to use Mamenu which was simple, and great, but it does not seem to work well with the newer mame releases.

I use GameLauncher.
It does not do as much as ArcadeOS, but I like it.

Thanks for the info. GameLauncher sounds great!
I'm thinking about running MAME, Nesticle, ZSNES, and Stella for starters. Can GameLauncher do this?
I have the IPAC on order and will be replacing the keyboard hack with this.
Thanks,

The answer is yes. This quote is from the readme.
"What Is It
Game Launcher is a universal DOS front end for emulators. It should
work with any emulator. I have tested it with MAME, Nesticle, RockNES,
zSNES, snes9x, Callus, Stella, Z26, and Genecyst."

I should mention that I cannot get GameLaunher to run on my win 2000 laptop at work. I get a message saying that it cannot change the video mode.
It works just great at home on my dos based machine or under win95.

Don't forget about AdvanceMenu. I've been using it in my cab for over a year, and it rocks. Works great with .58, and has some support for non-MAME emulators.
Check it out at http://advancemame.sourceforge.net
