Looks like Happ has made a Universal Video Converter for VGA cards. Thought you guys trying to choose between an ArcadeVGA and a high performance card might be interested.
If someone already posted about it, sorry I don't have much time for scanning old posts anymore.

that UVC si made by ULTRACADE and the price is heavy $225.00. Wonder who's the first one to do a write up on it ?
-
Why would I wanna get that for $225 when I can get arcadevga for $100 ?

I don't know how long Happ has been selling that, but I first saw it on their site a couple weeks ago. One possible reason someone may want to dish out the $$ for this is if they wanted to use the latest/greatest video card in their MAME cab since it requires a VGA card, where the ArcadeVGA is a specialized video card for use with arcade monitors.
Besides, these aren't priced for the average consumers. I have to imagine the target market for this device is OEM's.

Well Oscar... Need a 200 tax rightoff? It IS important that you add it to the comparisons on your website..
...sigh....
I have to start selling some arcade items so I can use my cabinet as a tax writeoff....
... sigh....

Well, I didn't say it was cheap... ;) I said it was cool. It just made me remember a thread way back about how one would go about converting a VGA signal into a usable composite or arcade-monitor signal.

Well, there is one pretty good feature for some on this thing.
It will do 25khz.
Other that that, I'm not sure what makes this different than a SCART compatible scaler like Focus Enhancements produces. Hopefully video quality. :)

Funny that this would come up....
I have one on the way as we speak.
It will be reviewed VS the arcade VGA on my website once it arrives.
(Yes I know the site is plain...It's just a space holder page until the real site is finished.) :)
