Post by: Sephroth57 on December 10, 2003, 04:01:47 pm
i DLed a 36MB rom in a zip for soul caliber and it loads up, gets to "press ok if youre allowed to play this", then it says "this game does not work properly" press ok, and I do and it gets to a screen with colors and stays there.

is every version out there like this or is it just mine?

im trying to run it in mame32 btw

Do you mean soul edge? If so, use Zinc:

no i mean soul caliber, i got it off http://retroroms.official-website.net/modules/news/  you gotta register, go to bulk download section, its in with the normal roms in rar format. 36MB. in mame32 it has a red icon instead of green like my working games

Wow.  I am surprised that the SC rom is only 36 MB.  That seems really small.  I guess I cannot answer your question, but I am pretty sure that you cannot emulate SC yet... Anyway, if you want to enjoy SC, I would recommend a dreamcast.  They are dirt cheap and I'd argue that the port is better than the arcade.
