Howard (or anyone else who might know):
I'm wanting to use AnalogMame so I can have multiple mouse support through Raging Dragon. When I run AnalogMame by itself I have no problem with this, but when I edit the dragon.ini to use AnalogMame, the game loads fine, but the mice are completely unresponsive. (Both mice) Any ideas??
FYI, it does the same thing through EmuWizard, and I know I set up that part of the .ini correctly, because I erased the other mame.exe's and AnalogMame is the only one left in that directory.
Why multiple mice? See my reply under your "killer instinct in Mame?" post... Dr. J

is analoge mame dos or win based and does it have a mame32 gui or is it command prompt based? I'm not too familair with it, but if you tell me this much then hopefully i can figure it out.

I am interested in this too. But, can analogmame run by itself, if your using the Win binary one? I have been playing with this a bit..couldnt you just change the name of analogmame to mame for the .exe? I am kinda new, so forgive me if i sound like i am clueless.

Hey,
It's weird, because the download page has two versions, both of which bring up a mame32 gui. Raging dragon doesn't give me any trouble when I use regular Mame32 though. Hopefully you'll be able to learn more about it here: http://www.urebelscum.speedhost.com/
Thanks, -Dr. J

What do you mean mame32 gui?
it's the normal win32 binary recompiled with directx 8 and taking advantage of dx8's control inteface essentially.
-
see that's what i thought.... you can run mame32 in rd but it's not reccomended... It's best to stick to a regualr old win compile of mame, any version of a wincompile will work with rd but mame32 variants are, well they're wierd.

Sometime in the near future, might you give it a shot to get multiple mice in, or are we out of luck??
-
Mame:Analog+ has two versions that do multiple mice: a Mame windows and a Mame32. If you are downloading the mame32 version on both links, that's my fault; I'll check and make sure the linked files are correct. --EDIT-- The MAMEv58 links on the download page are correct: one is to the mame32:Analog+ version, the other is to the windows version.
I haven't tried Howard's Dragon FE, but the windows version of mame:Analog+ should work with it. Except that Analog+'s multiple mouse options are set with added options in the mame.ini file. I don't know how RD would handle this. Maybe I'll check out Raging Dragon and see.:)

Thanks for checking it out. I tried the links again, and I've got the windows version now. I must have been acting silly and downloaded the same link twice :P
Anyway, the same problem is still there. The game will load, but there no mouse support at all. The in-mame gui doesn't even show the mouseaxes option.
Also, It does make Raging Dragon act a little weird after exiting the game. ARG! I like multiple mice...

I hope to learn about this too... I really like RD, as well as ArcadeFX...but I want mutliple mice controls. How can you play warlords with joysticks? Ick!

I'll look at it tonight. Not that I need an excuse to play mame...;D

I am awaiting to find out if this works as well. Also wondering if anyone knows if it will work with Emulaxian or ArcadeFX. Gotta have two trackballs for Rampart!
