so iv'e finished (well more or less)
with my MAME build...
now for the next one i'm more on the thinking side on what to do .. so i guess i need your help on it..
i can try and make my take on a JUKBOX .. (pretty complected build)
i can try to make some kind of a driving cab.. (risk loosing the wife support because it takes ALLOT of room i don't really have ...)
i can do ANOTHER Mame cabinet.. (don't really see the WHY ? on that.. but i do have an XBOX 360 lying around ...the thing is the control panel would have to be CRAZY big for that...)
or really i don't see what else i can do ... any suggestions for stuff you think would be cool and use the same kind of technique ?
(i did had an R2D2 (fully funcional with remote control) project plans like 5 years ago.. but that would cost a small fortune and about a year to do ..so ... no..)

You could always combine your options. Do another cab, but build a stand-up driver. That way you can get your driving/racing thrills in about 1/3 to 1/4 the floor space as a sit down.

nahh.. that won't work the whole fun of it is to get to sit in a sit and be like the driver...
otherwise it will just fill as if i am buying the stuff for my pc and playing in the room...

Do a search for wall-mounted jukeboxes. They're a space saver and not extremely complicated, and you can still make them fancy. It's my favorite personal personal project.

i think i will go with a jukebox in the end... the thing is with the wall mount where do you stick the speakers ? i mean if you want a good set of speakers you'll need space for them..
and a jukebox without a good sound is pretty lame no ?
i am dying to do a jukebox
but the thing with the jukebox in the end is the fabrication of the tubes mainely .. it will cost me somthing like a cupple of hundreds if not thoughsends of dollars just to fabricate the outer semi transperant glass tubes for it... or to fabricate it with the same matirial they use in the real jukeboxes...

Good point, my friend. My jukebox does NOT have built in speakers. It's in my game room, which was previously my family room. We rearranged out living space, so the main TV is now in the living room. I simply used my home theater setup for sound. The room is wired for 5.1, and I just sent the audio output from the jukebox directly into the home theatre receiver, which is hidden in the base for my Megatouch. It sounds great.

so friend,
if i'll decide to go with the jukebox any sujjestions on how to do it look good ?
i mean the main problems as i see it is all the metal work .. (lots of sculping to do ... i guess and from a matirial that i can color to look like metal)
and offcures the big glass or plastic or whatever tubes that runs on the side...
i think if i'll make this project it's one hell of a project with very little forums or people to talk to about making one from scrach...

Take a look at DaOld Man's builds -- he's done a few and they look great. (Links in his sig)
