Title: Mini Trackball
Post by: SuckerFish on December 10, 2003, 02:13:35 pm
Anyone have or seen neat mini trackballs (usb, ps2) I could put on top of my Cp without having to make holes.

Just a regular pc mini trackball with 2 buttons.

My Cp is black so I've been trying to find one to match.

Any ideas?

Try Ebay.  I bought a 2" diameter trackball for $1.99.  I cut the housing so it would fit in a 4" area.
Here is a picture cut.
You should be able to find many ball colors and you can always make a black mounting plate.

I have one that Compusa used to sell that I have listed in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum.  Basically I just want a couple of dollars and the cost of shipping for it.

Anyone every seen or heard good/bad things about this handheld trackball.

I don't want to use the trackball for games on my mame cab,  just something to ease my navigation.

Any other ideas?

I have one...they work pretty well. I'd recommend 'em. Wouldn't try to play golden-T with one though.  ;D

I have an old wireless logitech trackball..

It was orginially used  for presentations.  You could walk around the room then click the buttons to change slides.  It has a tiny ball that you navigate with your thumb...

I have a couple.. But they require batteries (2 * AAA)

I'll try to take some pictures off them tonite..

Found this picture on the web this is it...

I'll put some batterries in it and test it tonite...

I used to hack up trackballs for navigation and setup purposes, but then I bought a wireless USB powerpoint remote and never looked back. $50, but it has been worth every penny (plus, I can easily move it to other cabinets when needed).
