So the Galaga I recently picked up along with a BloodStorm is (for the most part) all done with what I wanted to do with it and it's ready to add to the lineup. I still need to disassemble the coin door, clean it up and touch up the spots on the control panel overlay that are chipped off, but I'm calling this project done. Here's everything I did....
-) Cleaned the cabinet inside and out
-) Stripped it, sanded it, painted it
-) Applied new side art and kick plate art
-) Removed the original K4600 monitor with Ms. PacMan burn in and and replaced it with a rebuilt, burn free K4900
-) Brand new Jamma harness
-) New t-molding
-) 60-in-1 setup to run only the 2-way games.
-) New marquee light fixture
-) New power supply
-) New isolation transformer
When I got it, there was no PCB or anything related to the power section. The original K4600 worked, when hooked to another machine, but it had really bad trapezoid effect. So I set it aside and used one of my spare K4900s. I went with the 60-in-1 because it's cheaper and more reliable than the original Galaga boards and the emulation is pretty good, so that's ok for me.
Lots of work and effort went into this and I'm pleased with how it turned out. Just wanted to share. Game on!

Nice! Where did you get the new isolation transformer if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks! I got it on Ebay. From TwistedQuarter I believe.

lol, thanks. With no wife/kids, there's nothing else on which for me to spend my time so they get done quickly.
