Hey guys.
I have Mamewah successfully installed and running games. I can play games, view screenshots, etc.
When I try to select rom folder vs listinfo, I'm not getting any result. The game list refreshes, but the roms are still listed by their romnames.
Also, on the screensaver slideshow, the images are showing up down and to the right, like there is some kind of scale or positioning problem.
I would appreciate any help you can give me.
TIA

Tried manually creating a listinfo file, naming it listinfo, listinfo.dat, mame.dat, trying sticking it somewhere in the mame.cfg file,
Using catver.ini doesn't do anything for me either.
I'm a bit new to commandline mame, and the setup docs for MAMEwah are very spotty, and not much published on the web. Tried the MAMEwah configuration application, and that gave me some weird error and wouldn't work.
Any help you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

What was the error you got with MAMEWah Set up.
If you are trying to run the program on a mac (going by your web site/address) I do not know if it will run because I wrote it on Windows XP (PC), and I know nothing about Macs.

Did you refresh the list since you made the List Generation Method to 'ROM Folder vs Listinfo' ? (I guess you did).
Try naming your listinfo file as mame.dat and place in your MAME folder. Then change the List Generation Method to 'ROM Folder vs DAT File' and refresh the list. Effectively that should do exactly the same as the listinfo List Gen. Method, but lets see what happens...

Thanks for your help guys. FYI, I'm running it on a PC. A mac wouldn't be able to run an exe (ecept through virtual PC, which costs as much as a PC, so why bother)
Funny thing.. I had tried all of those things you mention, and no luck.
Today I checked out the listinfo file and it was blank. When I checked it last night it was fine. Today, it's blank, and I run it again. Refresh list, and BAM. Just fine.
One other problem I mentioned. When I run the screensaver, The images are off to the right and down. I imagine this is some configuration issue. Any insights? Also, I periodically get a runtime error during the screensaver... right off the top of my head, it seems like it's related to corruption in one of the .png files. I'm only guessing though, next time the error comes up I'll post the actual message. Has anybody else run into this problem?

That runtime error on the slideshow, decoder error: not enough image data.

I was getting an error during the slideshow screensaver in Mamewah, something about an invalid picture format. I went crazy trying to narrow down which snapshot it was.
It ended up being a TXT file in the snap directory. It was titled 'change.txt' change happens to also be a rom name :P
I deleted 'change.txt' and the error went away!

I thought it might be something like that, but I deleted 3 folders... and every other file is a .png
I'm going to try to replace the screenshots.
ALSO, I figured out what was going on with the positioning of the slideshow images... just had to edit the slideshow portion of the layout designer.

Do you have >1 type of artwork for the screensaver? If so, you could be getting a bug (now fixed): if an image is present for eg Artwork #1, but no image is present for eg Artwork #2 then it would crash. So it might be work not replacing your screenshots at least until you try the next release...
