Can I put $10 on the Cowboys and Texans to lose every one of their games this year? Going to be a long season in Texas this year, while I flip to Cleveland games and mourn what could have been.I'll take that for $10. ;D

Won't happen. Romo is the Bane of QBs. He always offers just enough hope that this time it will be different. This time it will be 11-5 and an NFC title game loss to SF. Then he Romos and everybody in Dallas remembers.
Their defense is terrible and if Romo's back isn't 100% after the surgery, they're toast. Even if his back is good, they can't stop anyone. 5 or 6 wins max. They'll put up a crap ton of points though since their defense will be raped all season.

There's this weird sentiment going around lately about how Romo's got great fourth quarter stats. Putting aside that bloggers are making that argument are doing it primarily for the comment outrage and ad clicks, I think they're missing the point. Nobody ever argued the guy couldn't make plays, he just chokes on the key play where we need him. Consistently. For a decade.
Pit over Cle
I dare any of the Texans haters to take the Redskins in this game. ;D
Difficult week 1 with so many games that appear balanced.
Keep screwing that chicken
Dropping like flies already. And it'd be worse if the Eagles hadn't have come back.
And Dallas' stadium looks like a Niners home game. I've never seen so many visitors at a Cowboys home game.
Week 1: Bears over Bills
Patriots over Dolphins
Gonna try to last more than 3 weeks this year. :lol
Week 2
Patriots over Vikings
Being a Cowboys fan has ceased to bring me any pleasure or joy. I get that all sports fans are masochists on some level - it's impossible for your team to win more often than they lose in the long run. But the consistently poor long term decision making that plagues the organization just makes it excruciating. I also have no doubt that it's an extraordinarily dangerous sport but am speechless in the face of all the new penalties and automatic first downs this year. When the commentators are noting the presence or lack of a flag on -every- -single- -play- it's long out of hand.
Last year, I watched them just so I'd have something to talk about with my dad. This year that's less of a priority so I'm at a loss for why I bother.
:dunno
when you posted, the game had just kicked off. I dont have any say in it, but I think your pick is valid. You can definitely pick between ari and sd as a back up
Told you to pick Arizona..... >:D

So come over to the light side and be a Texans fan. You do know that Houston is closer to S.A. than Dallas is, right?
If Hanoi bio's pick was in before kickoff, I would have made an exception and let it stand. Since it was after the game started, I didn't want to do that not because of him but because I don't need the hassle of opening Pandora's Box on this thread with the rest of you turd burgers.
Down goes Vigo and PBJ!
RIP Zero Hour and Malenko as well....
RIP Zero Hour and Malenko as well....
As you can tell by my earlier post.........I coulda sworn I picked the packers. whooooooops. ROUND TWO HERE I COME!
Week 3: Texans over Giants.Considering how bad the Giants are playing, it hasn't taken much to beat them. Eli looks awful.
I'm a believer in the FitzMagic.
Carolina over Pittsburgh
Rain over the New York Yankees,
There were a few of us packer fans here. Perfect game, no ralphing. I'm superb.
6-1!!! 6-1!!!
I never thought you'd live to see it
For eight weeks, my black heart felt a small flicker of hope. There is still time for the inevitable, stop ruining it for me prematurely.
They've added to each teams' woes as they beat them. They're a good team. Though with Romo and Dez on my FF team, I'd love to see them air it out repeatedly and bench Murray before he gets hurt.
I just checked on their opponents and was surprised to notice they haven't beaten one team that currently has a winning record. They have only played one team that has a winning record (SF 4-3) and lost. They are on a run against every team from last year that is surprisingly worse than they should be.
The fortunate part for them is that now they have the actually weak teams. We're going to see if this team is for real in two weeks against Arizona (who is on a similar run against the dregs of the NFC).
Brady's just rubbed me wrong ever since that look of disgust when they gave him a Pontiac Aztek. Not that I blamed him but he just seems like the kind of guy I avoid at all costs. It's the Uggs. We all feel that way about him.

Cards pulled out another won.
And down to the final two!
PBJ - Got the Spurs hat out now that the Yankees and Cowboys are done? ;D

So are the 5-2 Eagles a dreg, Chaddles? Just wonderin'...
Romo out this game and next. Be gentle, cardinals
:scared
Had to watch the damn thing on a British TV feed. At least the commercials for weird hatchback cars and chocolate biscuits were interesting.
Had to watch the damn thing on a British TV feed. At least the commercials for weird hatchback cars and chocolate biscuits were interesting.
Been there.
It is funny how anticlimactic the whole thing is, especially when they flash to the studio commentary. One British dude and a random ex-NFL player politely having a chipper discussion about different aspects of the game. It hits climax when they open up the mail bag and comment on various fan letters that they receive.
I propose for this round, since it's so short, you can't pick a game involving Jacksonville, Oakland, or Tampa. >:D
Vigo is disqualified for not following the rules. Picks have to be highlighted not in different font colors. Typical anarchy that we expect from a GB fan. >:D
All of the NFC North rejoices when Detroit loses.
Yotsuya - make it to that game too?
I was stuck at a kid's party and had to follow via my phone.Hate that. Like the parents couldn't schedule it at a different time or turn the game on. ;D
They were showing the Packers / Eagles game here and finally cut in with, "we interrupt this broadcast to bring you a more competitive game." First time in my life I've ever seen that happen. It's been awhile since I've seen it, but it used to be more a lot more prevalent. It doesn't happen in the primary market for either team but if your getting a "national" game and it's a blowout, they'll move you to a closer (score-wise) game. It tends not to happen in secondary markets as much but it'll never happen in a primary market.
:dizzy:
And I'd say the team from Wisconsin is the odds on favorite to win the NFC. Especially if they get home field during playoffs.
Cards won't do well with Stanton at QB. Though I do like Bruce Arians. Big fan of him when he was here in Indy. And I'd say the team from Wisconsin is the odds on favorite to win the NFC. Especially if they get home field during playoffs.
Bump for anyone who still wants in for Round 2.
Personally, I think the Bears are much more talented than their record shows. As much as I joke that they need to replace Jay Cutler, the bears have it good in the QB arena compared to a lot of teams like vikes. My 2 cents is Trestman needs to figure out how they are gonna play the game and focus on bringing in that breed of talent. Seems to me like a lack of identity.Def, especially the DBs, have been decimated by injuries. They weren't going to be good to begin with but that's not helped. Briggs is slow and old. He won't be back. Losing Tillman again for the season with injuries doesn't help. When your longest tenured LB says that they have guys IN GAMES that nobody knows their names, that's not a recipe to win v. GB....
Cowboys over Giants
round 2: Saints over Ravens
round 2: Raven over Saints
Thanks Drew Brees! ::)
Rex Ryan is killing the Saints. Overrated as any coordinator has ever been.
Rex Ryan is killing the Saints.
Week 13
Eagles defeat cowgirls
Dolphins mutilate the Jets with a blow torch and a pair of pliers.
Dolphins over Jets.
8)
I'm saying the Jets better duct tape their asses shut. The Dolphins are seeing a shimmer of light for wildcard chances after the Ravens, Steelers and Browns all lost this week. They will take this game seriously.
How bout them Cowboys?

Better than losing to them.
:applaud:
Eagles over Cowgirls again
Dallas only loses at home.
Eagles over Cowgirls again
Bears over SaintsI'm heading up for the game this afternoon. Let's just hope its not a terrible night and you and they get the W.
Worst part about football is the fans. It was a pretty good game to watch. I only lasted till the end of the 3rd quarter when the Eagles backup quarterback, and Im using the term quarterback very loosely here, tossed an interception. Then I went to bed. 830pm starts to 3-4 hour games aren't made for people who live on the east coast and get up at 530am. Hockey games starting at 9pm are worse.
Neither the Eagles nor the Cowboys will win the superbowl this year, of course doesnt look like the Flyers are going to win the cup either :/
I cant DVR a football game, its too likely the game results would be spoiled for me before I could watch it. I just watch what I can and look at the results the next day. It has to be weird in California to start watching Sunday Pro football at 10am and have the last game over by 9pm.That'd be awesome! We get that a little with the NFL game in England but every week? Amazing.
Do you call it soccer in England?
Do you call it soccer in England?
He means the game that they play at Wembley every year.
Updated with week 15 winners and loser. Don't forget to pick for week 16.
Ravens over Texans
My bad, missed kickoff.
buffalo over raiders
So everyone got eliminated this week? :dizzy:
Ive barely watched any football this year, will probably watch even less next year.

It's the sharp knees isn't it? Well below your standards.
Mute the announcers. Problem solved.
Week 17
Denver over Oakland
Week 17
Denver over Oakland
This pretty much faded out when everyone lost in the previous week. :banghead:
Super Bowl - Romo retires without ever winning the big game
New England over Dallas
My loyalty runs Dallas -> Whatever other Texas team currently exists -> NFC and beyond that I don't care. So I, too, would rather see anyone else beat the Patriots.
HAHA! Suck it Lions. Call it karma for being a repository of idiots and jackasses.
Gotta love all the Cowboys fans crying on Facebook about getting screwed by the refs... :dizzy:
Now all the Packers fans can quit bugging about the game at Seattle with the replacement refs...
Dez was my horse. Rooting for Romo since I dont think he deserves all the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- he gets blown.
3/4 of the NFC North fans are all 12th man this next game. Patriots v Packers Super Bowl? No thanks.
Patriots v Packers Super Bowl?
I have two goals. Not to see the Packers ever win another game and not to see the Patriots win another cheating Super Bowl. Based on that, the lesser of those evils is Seattle.3/4 of the NFC North fans are all 12th man this next game. Patriots v Packers Super Bowl? No thanks.
I'd love a Green Bay/Indianapolis Super Bowl, myself. The thought of a bunch of Starbucks-sipping, Grunge listening, Sasquatch-loving blue-green mofos invading town leaves me clammy.

Indy hosted the SB a few years ago. Nightmare working downtown during that crap. Roads were closed for a week, idiots (besides the normal Indy idiots) were everywhere, etc.
Going to a super bowl would be fun but I'll never be able to afford it. Hell, I can't afford to go to a Texans game, and they suck and still manage to pack the house.
Anyway, enjoy the rest of the season. Mine's over. :P
