Hi guys. I hope you guys can help me with my problem. First off, I have been trying to play Initial D Arcade stage ver.3 using Demul/Naomi on my computer. The emulator works fine when I boot it up, however every time my wheel is plug in, it suddenly stops responding. I have tried plugging my wheel after it boots up to the game but it still suddenly stops. I really need help since I have been trying to find a fix for 2 months and searching immensely online. I am so desperate to play my Initial D and the reason why I actually bought a logitech wheel.
Thank you in advance.
Specs laptop:
Windows 8 64x bit
Intel i7-3630m 2.4 ghz
Nvidia GeForce Gt 650m
Logitech Driving Force gt wheel ( plugged in through USB)
Latest Demul version is being used ( 5. 8 )

ive got a dfgt and i can play without issue. I also have a momo wheel and have no issue as well. So if you dont plug in your wheel at all the game loads and plays fine? have you tried mapping the keys to the keyboard to see if the game plays all way through?
does demul see your wheel when you map buttons?
do you have logitech profiler installed?
-
That's the thing, Demul recognizes the wheel when I am configuring the controls and I also have the logitech profiler. I have tried the compatibility and no luck. I really do not know what is the problem.
-- Oh I have windows 8.1 not 8
Questions:
Does the logitech profiler needs to be open while loading the emulator?
Do I have to configure the settings in the logitech profiler in order for the emulator to work? (only thing I did was to set the pedal to be combined)
Do i have to run as Administrator?
Is there anything I need to configure from the test settings?
Is there any tutorial to actually configure everything with the logitech driving force GT?
-
what about the game tho? does it play fully on the keyboard?
the profiler is needed per se, i just wanted to check if you had the driver set up properly for the wheel.
Doesnt hurt to run as admin
you do need to go into test setting to turn off the card reader. otherwise the game will get stuck at at the card reader failed.
no tutorial sorry. but its nothing special to do.

Do less demanding games like Crazy Taxi work?
Are there other controllers connected?
Try it with only the wheel connected.
Does the logitech profiler needs to be open while loading the emulator?
No. It runs in the background, but isn't even really necessary as long as pedals are marked combined.
Do I have to configure the settings in the logitech profiler in order for the emulator to work? (only thing I did was to set the pedal to be combined)
No. Even if the pedals weren't set up correctly the emulator should still launch and play...the pedals just won't work right.
Do i have to run as Administrator?
I don't know about this specific case, but I've seen a lot of emulator related programs not work because they needed to access some file that the non-administrator didn't have permissions for.
Is there anything I need to configure from the test settings?
Like SegaOutrun said, the card reader needs disabled or it will hang at the screen where it searches for it.
The wheel being connected shouldn't make any difference though.
Is there any tutorial to actually configure everything with the logitech driving force GT?
For most things there really isn't much to configure.
Model 2 emulator and the recently hacked Battle Gear 4 are the only things I'm aware of that require the pedals to be marked separate.
A lot of older PC games like Outrun 2006 will scroll through the menu uncontrollably if the pedals aren't marked combined. (this can be done under windows game controllers. You have to right click the controller in win7 to get to this option, not sure about 8)
So for the least amount of configuring, set your pedals to combined under Windows Controllers, then create a Logitech profiler profile for the few things that need them to be separate. (I did this backwards and had to create a profile for everything that required them to be combined).
IMO the console emulators each need a profile also for the sake of adjusting sensitivity, saturation, & wheel rotation.

I asked the Demul guy over in mameworld if force feedback is working yet in driving games with steering wheels and he said no.

Hi. Has force feedback supported now?
*nothing wrong with replying to a 2 year old post* :lol
